Antenna Company names David Favreau as CEO and appoints Joep van Beurden and Prof. dr. Edward Krubasik to its Supervisory Board.

Pleasanton, California – November 3, 2015. The Antenna Company International, the company that has redefined the field of antennas through the power of SuperShape® antenna technology, today announced that its board of directors has appointed David Favreau, 54, as new CEO, effective immediately. Joep van Beurden and Edward Krubasik join the board as non-executive members.

“The board is thrilled to have selected David as CEO and is as optimistic as ever regarding Antenna Company’s future,” said Roel Pieper, former CEO of the company, now becoming chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Prior to joining Antenna Company, David served as Vice President, Product Management at Qualcomm, where he achieved market leadership position for its wireless connectivity products. Prior to that he held various senior management positions at RF Micro Devices, Agere Systems and Lucent Technologies. Favreau has a B.S. and M. Eng. in Applied and Engineering Physics from Cornell University.

David Favreau has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the wireless industry and will work closely with the design, production and sales teams to accelerate the development and adoption of Antenna Company’s SuperShape® antenna solutions.

Joep van Beurden was Chief Executive Officer at CSR Plc., a designer and developer of silicon and software systems for the Consumer Electronics and Automotive market, from 2007 to 2015. In that time he has repositioned the company into a successful high-end semi-conductor business, which was recently acquired by Qualcomm. Joep has led global technology companies in the US and Europe for more than 20 years. Prior to CSR, he was Chief Executive of NexWave Inc., a provider of embedded software solutions for the consumer electronics market. Joep held senior positions at Canesta Inc., a fabless semiconductor company, and Philips Components, in California. Before this, he worked for McKinsey & Company and Shell.

Dr. Edward Krubasik worked as partner and director at McKinsey & Co., Inc. for over twenty years, where he was in charge of McKinsey’s global innovation and technology management practice and the European electronics, telecommunications and aerospace sector. From 1997 to 2006 Professor Krubasik was a Member of the Corporate Executive Committee of Siemens AG with special responsibility for the company’s Industry and Transport business sector and Siemens’ Corporate Technology Department.
Dr. Edward Krubasik is honorary professor at the Technical University of Munich since 1998 and Honorary Senator of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Dr. Krubasik is President of the Electrical and Engineering Industry Association of Germany and Europe.
